Description
Honey Creek is a multi use area. Horses and bikes are allowed. There are lots of open areas to hike through, but most of it is among trees.
The trail is well marked with carsonite posts. Loop A is also the "Red" trail. There are lots of intersections with other access trails. During summer, these other routes are not maintained, so there isn't much confusion with the addition of the signage. However, winter hiking could require one to rely on the signs and the
Hiking Project mobile app.
There is also a C Loop (not designated on the MDC maps) that is marked on the carsonite posts. It intermingles with the other loops and is maintained to the same degree. Those intersections do require one to pay attention a bit.
All of the trails here are service or access road type trails. And, for the most part, it is gentle, low-grade hiking. One thing that most people will be surprised about are the steep parts linking these trails together. It would be entirely easy green level trail were it not for these sections.
