Park next to the rock with the Fort Barton sign on it. There are only a few spots so parking might be tough. Start left up the really steep driveway, and once at the top, continue to the right of the lookout tower. Views from the top are great!

Continue on the path to the back side of the tower and down the trail steps. I generally follow the Red hash marks and keep following them all the way back to the beginning stairs. This is a really, nice fast hike with ascents and descents and a few creek crossings on wooden foot bridges.

Typical bugs like flys and mosquitos and the occasional garter snake.
