Description
The 2-mile trail hugs Sweet Creek all the way to Sweet Creek Falls. There are several delightful smaller falls all along the way: Split Falls, Punch Bowl falls and Ledge Falls. Additionally, there are green leaves and dappled light and shade even in August. It is the perfect place to cool down when the heat of the Willamette Valley gets oppressive. The trail is open and accessible year-round. The grade is gentle and a couple of catwalks make negotiating the few shear walls a simple matter.
Sweet Creek Falls is about halfway along the trail which continues if you cross the creek below the falls.
Flora & Fauna
Verdant moss, fern, Douglas-fir, alder, and big leaf and vine maple. Water ouzels/dippers frequent the creek.
