Overview

Up above Wild Rose Park there are four major ridgelines, each with trails offering beautiful views all along the way. This hike visits them all in one push!

Description

This hike starts and ends at Woodbriar Trailhead, but you could easily modify the hike to start at Wild Rose Park.

This is a fantastic ~8.5 mile hike! And it's not an easy 8.5 miles either. There's plenty of elevation to be gained and lost.

From Woodbriar, you begin by ascending the first ridge, linking it up with the old jeep road going south toward the major junction. This will be the first of two visits to the junction.

Now head down the second ridge. The last bit of it is steep and fun. Once at the base, make your way south to the start of the third ridge. Follow this ridge back to the junction which can now be viewed in fading light (an evening hike) or in brighter contrasts (a morning hike.)

Now turn south for the fourth and final ridge. This ridge is relatively flat and straight, so let it fly! Once at the base, finish strong with the last push north back to Woodbriar Trailhead.

Here's one of the little fat lizards. They're cute! I've seen'em a bit bigger than this one.
