Description

Although the first few miles of this stage are mostly urban/suburban and take you through some unsightly industrial parks, it's actually a beautiful way to enter the city. Watch for your first glimpse of the cathedral around mile 5.

From the Praza de Espana on, you can stroll through parkland all the way to the university, down to the old cruciero and new modern sculpture that mark your entrance into the medieval town.

A modern steel-and-glass awninged promenade running parallel to the campus shade you down the last stretch of Avenue Xoan XXIII, to the old San Francisco Monastery. Then it's one last tiny hill up Rua San Francisco to the Praza do Obradoiro and the end of your camino.
