Features Geological Significance · Waterfall

Family Friendly Short hike and the rock field is very fun to explore.

Overview

A one-of-a-kind experience that has to be heard to be appreciated.

Need to Know

Don't forget your hammer. A small one will work great, and it has the added benefit of being lighter to carry.

Description

The hike to the boulder field is quick and flat, but the boulder field is appropriately named, as it will take some agility to navigate amongst the rocks.

After you have spent half an hour marveling at the different tones that the different rocks make, double your fun by spending another half hour and completing the loop to take in the waterfall on the far side of the loop.

1.5 mi : Wondered a bit. Banged on a few rocks and hunted several Geocaches. Wet drippy day but worth it to get out of the house. 1.5mi
