The trailhead is about 5 miles up Forest Road 20 off Highway 12 near Packwood.

Description

The trail climbs steadily through mostly tall shady trees. Near the top, the trail is open with stunning views of Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, and the surrounding area. The top is open with 360-degree views of Mount. St. Helens and Mt. Hood in the distance as well.

Flora & Fauna

Avalanche lillies, Indian paintbrush, lupine, and bear grass grow here among the trees.
