Overview
This is an enjoyable loop around the perimeter of Crow Hanson Park Reserve.
Need to Know
This trail system can be a bit tricky to navigate as they don't number the trail loops, but instead number the sections. Those sections are identified at most trail intersections. If you have any doubt you'll be able to navigate, be sure to bring your phone with the
Hiking Project mobile app to keep you on track.
Note that there is an established doubletrack trail between Points #4 and #1. The route shown here by-passes part of that established trail on a use trail that may be a little overgrown during the summer months.
Description
This is a nice hike with gentle rolling hills through a mix of woods and prairie. There are a lot of deer and other wildlife. Portions of the trail are sandy.
This hike follows the perimeter of Crow Hassan Park Reserve, and there are several other trails that connect to this outer loop that you can use to shorten or length your hike as desired.
Parking, restrooms, and a drinking fountain located just west of Sylvan Lake Rd.
Flora & Fauna
The trails here wind through a mix of prairie and forest where you'll see deer, coyote, rabbits, owls, ducks, and more.
