Description

Parking is available at the NY-17A Park and Ride in Tuxedo, NY. The trailhead is located just off the parking lot and is marked by white trail markers.

The first half of this trail is the hardest, but some of the views at the top, especially towards the beginning, are more than worth the effort. The second half of this trail is pretty moderate-to-easy but enjoyable. There is a cool pond and some old, torn-down structures toward the end of the trail too that are really cool.

My favorite time of year to do this trail is spring time as the water runoff from winter contributes to some really beautiful waterfalls and streams. I've done this trail in the middle of summer too after some drought-like periods and it's not nearly as beautiful.
