Description

This hike can start from either end of the trail. If starting at the south end of the trail, park in the small town of Zwieselstein wherever you can find a public parking spot. Start by hiking down the street closest to the river.

Soon after leaving town, the trail turns into a wide gravel route. The trail parallels the river passing a couple spots where you can hike to the river's edge. Make sure not to fall in! This river can be very fast moving and full of cold, cloudy glacier water.

The trail soon starts to climb away from the river, but the trail surface remains a nice compact dirt. The trail peaks out shortly after a small landslide path. The trail has a couple more rolling hills before descending to a road leading to Wildmoos.
