Description
This trail shares the same basic information as the
Duck Creek Trail West, with one exception. Portions of this trail do travel parallel to the adjacent street and don't offer as mush shade in places as it's partner to the west of the creek. You'll still have the option to begin in a number of spots along the trail with parking areas dotted in a variety of places.
It is a paved path that is typically double-wide, but does narrow up in some areas. There are a few bumps and inclines as you cross over the creek in a couple of spots. You'll likely encounter a fair amount of bird life as you travel through the forest so bring binoculars or a camera to enjoy the views. At certain times of the day there can be moderate traffic on this trail so keep your eyes open for other hikers and cyclists alike.
Overall, this is a solid trail in northeastern Dallas County that provides nice shade and well-maintained surroundings that links several local parks, and even a nice fishing pond. It's worth the visit to explore if you live in the area.
