Description
This route leaves from the west end of the small town of Vent to Rofen Hut. Parking is available at the start of the town and next to the chairlift 'Wildspitze.' Parking can be paid for at the entrance to the chairlift.
The route starts by ascending slightly on the south side of the Rofen River. The trail winds through open meadows with distant views up valley of large jagged peaks and glaciers. Along the way, there are many sculptures. One such item is a cross that was on the summit of Wildspitze, the tallest peak in Tirol. Haflinger horses roam the area. They may come up to you or follow you to try to get food.
The trail ends by crossing a suspension bridge to the Rofen Hut where you can grab a cappuccino or lunch.
