Description

Super easy track, wide and sandy and level. Mostly dappled shade with a few parts in direct sun, and there are benches here and there around the loop. Trails and markers are color coded at John F. Burke, and the Pond Trail Loop is indicated with yellow.

Flora & Fauna

I've seen dragonflies, damselflies, and crickets, and I've heard cicadas and birds. The river and pond will have turtles and fish, and often egrets and killdeer. North Texas woods commonly host rabbits, snakes, raccoons, possums, foxes, deer, bobcats, and more, so keep a sharp eye out! The educational info onsite tells you more about what you may find!
