There is a large parking area for this overlook trail, including an area for tour buses and hotel taxis. The mostly paved trail begins right from this parking area and heads straight north. Along the side of the trail is a platform upon which a number of souvenirs vendors will likely be set up. Continue past these to the edge of a high cliff. There is a sturdy railing along the edge. From here you have great views of the gorge, a waterfal,l and Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire. You can hike a little ways west if you fancy, or pick up the Gollum Trail and head all the way down to the visitor center in the gorge.
