Description

From the parking lot, take the right trail that heads gently uphill. As you attain the ridge you cross Jonas Ridge Trail. From here, the trail bombs down towards the river through thick forest and some boulder fields. There is some minor scrambling along the way including the final push down to the river. Crossing the river here you can access the Linville Gorge Trail.

Great as always. Yellow jackets midway down, in the middle of the trail, under a rock, just past the huge oak tree. 5.5mi
