Description

This is a well-marked trail on the north aspect of Old Butte and Saddle Rock. The current route follows the "hiking only trail" to the junction with the road, where it then transitions to private property. It is important to note that the PDF map on the CDLT website does not always match the trail signs. The trail is well maintained until the section passing through private property. Please respect the land owners and remain on the trail during this section. The middle section of the trail (passing through private property) is fairly overgrown and rutted, but easily navigable.

Flora & Fauna

I have encountered several bull snakes on the trail (when the weather warms). Have yet to encounter a rattlesnake, but they are out there.
