Family Friendly An easy and level trail with good views.

If you start at the west trailhead please close the gate when you enter and exit the trail. Do not litter. Leave no trace.

Need to Know

You need to climb down and up two ladders, one on each side of the bridge. The bridge is almost 200 feet high. Have caution with small kids on the bridge.

Description

The Bellaca Bridge used to be part of the railroad that ran around the island. The original bridge was destroyed and was replaced. The only remains of the old bridge are the two abutments, one on each side.

You can start the trail from either side. If you start on the east side, after 0.09 miles from the trailhead go left at the trail junction.
