Description

The Red Spot Trail is a beautiful trail connecting the Cascade Link Trail to the Pumpelly Trail. It can be accessed either by the White Dot Trail to the Cascade Link Trail, or directly by the Birchtoft Trail.

The Red Spot Trail begins rather gently before quickly (about 0.25 mi in) taking a steep turn upwards just after crossing the Ark Brook. Continue following the trail up until breaking out of the tree line, when you'll intersect with the Pumpelly Trail. By now you can easily see the peak of the mountain to gain your bearings.

This trail also makes for a slightly easier descent that the White Dot Trail or White Cross Trail .
