Turkey Scratch Loop

This short loop can only be accessed at the apex of Deer Run Trail. Together, the two are a bit less than a mile in length. You're following the orange blazes.

Though Turkey Scratch does have the elevation changes of the other trails, it is still narrow and has a lot of roots along the way. Keep that in mind when you're navigating! If you're comfortable with your footing and hiking in the woods, you shouldn't have any problems. That said sometimes it can be a bit hard to spot a few of the blazes, particularly where this roughly triangular trail turns somewhat abruptly. Just keep an eye out, keep a sense of where you are about you, and you'll see the blazes shortly.
