Description

Butterfield Trail is an easy loop that starts right off the parking lot of the main trailhead, goes under the wooden frame and starts left.

It is nice singletrack most of the way that will twist and turn through the woods with a few creek crossings and rocky sections. Once you cross the gravel road (beware of vehicles), the trail starts to climb very gradually and eventually loops back to the parking lot where you began.

There are signs 0.75 to 1 mile in where Colonel Hunt and Oil Rig trails split off and loop back into Butterfield making one big loop that comes in just over 4.5 miles.
