Overview
This trail makes a nice loop on a singletrack trail. It follows near or above the creek most of the way to and from Racer's Hill, with several brief viewpoints overlooking the creek from low bluffs.
Description
Starting at the parking area on the west side of the campground, the trail starts by heading right at the gate. On the west side of the creek, the trail snakes its way across the doubletrack/cobble road several times, but there is only a short bit at the end where you need to hike the road.
Racer's Hill offers a smooth, steady climb at the midpoint of the hike, and the trail loops back around at the base of the hill so you can hike it multiple times to add elevation.
The trail back is smooth and runs above the creek most of the way. If you are looking for more mileage, you can combine this hike with the Yellow Rock Trail to make a solid 9 mile route.
