Description

To reach the beginning of this fire road, look for the singletrack Parking Connector at a parking/pull-out off of Upper River Road. This trail traverses the hillside for about half a mile before intersecting with the doubletrack.

From here on up, it's relatively steep and rocky as you climb. Near the peak, the trail branches—to reach the summit, take the Triangle Peak Spur to the right to ascend the final couple hundred feet to the top of the peak. Taking the trail to the left continues and connects to the Red Canyon Trail (to Sloane Cutoff) and Arbaney-Kittle Trail (2186.2)). A small bench sits below the summit with views over Aspen.
