Need to Know

Use the east parking lot. There is a small creek crossing just after the reeds.

Description

Quail Creek is the same creek that feeds Quail Lake a few miles away. Hard packed sand is great for hiking during or after a rain storm. It will take you through some of the most beautiful scenery like the rest of the trails in the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve area.

The trail offers a lot of diversity packed into this little mile, including big and small dry drainage ditches carved by rain water to add easy variety, a singletrack section surrounded by tall reeds, a creek crossing, and lots of winding turns. The trail ends near a junction with Prospector Trail and the parking lot.
