Family Friendly An easy trail near the campsites that offers lake and creek views.

Description

This trail begins at the southwest corner of the picnic grounds drive/parking area in an open field. It then heads southwest along the bank of Lake Somerville, offering unobstructed views. After about 0.5 miles, you'll pass the Cedar Creek Campground and another parking area from which the trail can be accessed via a short spur.

The trail then heads inland alongside Cedar Creek, one of the main sources for Lake Somerville. You'll get some nice views of the creek as the trail follows it before ending at Cedar Creek Loop Trail which can be used to extend the hike and loop back to your starting point.
