Description

The trail's name comes from a small pond on the property that used to be the site of a gravel dredging operation, however when abandoned, it became a lovely pond due to being lower than the surrounding water table. Today it provides habitat for a variety of birds including geese, ducks, and the blue heron. The section of the trail on either side of the ponds goes through small open areas and thick stands of trees including some hardwoods and larch.

Flora & Fauna

Heron, geese, ducks, raccoons, foxes, and deer can be found here.
