Use caution when crossing Flagstaff Road.

Description

This mile-long trail gives hikers the option to connect between the Walker Ranch Trailhead and the Meyer's Homestead Trail without hiking on the road. The well-groomed trail has a few nice switchbacks as it makes its way across the open terrain.

At about the halfway point, the trail crosses Flagstaff Road. Be sure to use the marked crosswalk and look both ways before crossing. From here, the trail winds through an open meadow with a few pine trees dotted throughout until it joins up with the Meyer's Homestead Trail at the Meyer's Homestead Parking Area.

Josie Heath was the second female commissioner in Boulder County and is a dedicated civic activist.
