From the Pine Creek Canyon Trail once you cross the creek, watch for a trail that cuts south. The trail quickly heads up the bank of Pine Creek and veers more south.

As you move along, various climber trails intersect the trail. The first valley you see to your right leads to the Brownstone Wall. Stay in the flatter land and watch to your right as Rainbow Mountain begins to rise above you.

Eventually (when you see the next valley), you'll soon come upon the well-marked Oak Creek Canyon Trail.
