Description
The Howell Wetlands
Outer Loop circumnavigates the Howell Wetlands. The terrain is varied, and other than some slight inclines when you first enter the woods, it's relatively flat and well maintained. On this trail you'll tread on grass, dirt, boardwalk, asphalt, gravel, and a couple of bridges over the marshes. There are always plenty of opportunities along the way to observe the native flora and fauna.
Flora & Fauna
Rare river cane, snapping turtles, diverse duck species, squirrels, a plethora of birds, and all the local flowers can be found here.
