The Miller Lake Trail #3725 is open only for hiking and mountain biking; however, bikes are not allowed beyond the Mount Thielsen Wilderness boundary. June and July are heavy mosquito months at Miller Lake, so be prepared.
Description
The Miller Lake Trail #3725 is divisible into two segments: the first from a trailhead on Forest Road 9772 to Digit Point Campground and the second from the campground to its end at a junction with the
Maidu Lake Trail #1446.
The first segment is basically for fishing access to the lake and is not of much use to hikers or backpackers. However, the second segment provides short (less than a mile), level access to the
Maidu Lake Trail #1446 at the west end of the lake.
Amenities at the Digit Point Campground include trailhead parking, picnic tables, potable water, campfire rings, three flush toilets, one vault toilet, and an RV dump station. The campground is generally open with water and restrooms from June through mid-October, with reduced services after October 1st. Gravel Forest Road 9772 is typically closed during the winter months due to snow.
