Description

Starting from Carson Lake, hike across the dam heading south down the Kannah Creek Trail. This is a long, long downhill. Be ready for rocky, fallen trees, water crossings, and wildlife. The trail starts above the Rim of the Grand Mesa around 10,000 ft. in the cool forest atmosphere and ends down around 6000 ft. where it is dry and can be hot in the summer. The trail ends in the Kannah Creek parking lot.
