This road, and often times the entire La Sal Mountain Loop Road, are closed during winter.

Description

Miner's Basin Road is a dirt forest service road. It is accessible from the La Sal Mountain Loop Road (paved). The road is used by mountain bikers and hikers to access the Miner's Basin Trail. As with other FS roads in the area, there are some great views of Castle Valley from Miner's Basin Road.

Miner's Basin Road and Miner's Basin Trail is a grueling climb of almost 1,800 feet. of elevation gain in three miles!

Flora & Fauna

You may see elk, deer, and black bear while on this road.
