Family Friendly When it's not wet, kids will enjoy this trail's mellow grades and pleasant forest surroundings.

The William P. Holliday Forest & Wildlife Preserve, commonly named Holliday Nature Preserve, is a nature preserve, not a park, so there are some special considerations. Neither bikes nor dogs are allowed.

Description

Fox Trail is one of several short trails within the William Holliday Nature Preserve in Wayne County. Parking is available off of Koppernick Road. The trail is frequently wet and water-logged in spring and after rain. As such, it's best used during dry, peak summer and mid-winter. Since the trail is unmarked, it's a good idea to use the Hiking Project mobile app for navigation. The trail system in this area can also be accessed through the Hix City Park parking area (closed during winter) off of Hix Road.
