The arboretum is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Description

Throughout the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Three Mile Drive is used both as a pleasant trail in and of itself, and as a convenient way to access the foot trails in the park's interior. While car traffic does use the road for three seasons a year, a large shoulder designated for pedestrian use exists along the roadside. In the winter, the road takes on a special character as the gates close to vehicles and turn the park road into a winter wonderland.

Along the way, the road traverses rolling terrain peppered with interesting flora and fauna.

Flora & Fauna

Keep your eyes peeled for numerous species of bird and small game animal along the road.
