Family Friendly It's hard not to be impressed by what the river has done to these rocks.

Description

If you are doing the drive to Milford Sound don't miss this short excursion. The violence of The Chasm is impressive; the strong river current has carved potholes out of the diorite rock, effectively using hard pebbles as grinding stones. The path is partly dirt and partly wooden boardwalk with handrails.
