Description

Experience a little-known portion of Wildcat Canyon Regional Park along a trail with a bit of a country feel. The route consists of three segments officially. The northern Green Ridge Trail, a middle segment on private land, and the southern Old Nimitz Way. There are trail gates at either end of the segment on private land welcoming you to traverse.

This trail has substantially more uniform grades than the San Pablo Ridge Trail that makes the same connection between the north end of the Nimitz Way Trail/top of Mezue Trail and the east end of the Belgum Trail. Around the same amount of climbing, but with fewer rolling hills.

There is one critical turn at a fork in the midst of the segment between the trail gates. Headed south, turn right uphill. Headed north, turn left. The other road heads down to a locked road with no trail gate and no way out. This is not a particularly fun detour from which to climb back out.
