Family Friendly While it's not exactly an experience in nature, this is a good trail for getting out of the house and stretching your legs with the kids.

Description

Starting over by the Las Vegas National Golf Club on E Twain Avenue, the paved Flamingo Arroyo Trail makes a northwesterly route along the wash through residential Vegas. Along the way, it makes a few road crossings and tricky navigational maneuvers, so keep the Hiking Project mobile app with you and trust the routing. Essentially, where it seems unclear, just stay on the sidewalks until you pick the trail back up. Eventually, the trail meets up with the regional Las Vegas Wash Trail, which you can always use to extend your hike.

Bearing right at the junction with the Las Vegas Wash Trail, the Flamingo Arroyo Trail starts to head south past more of suburbia to end at the Sunrise Trailhead in Clark County Wetlands Park.
