Description

This trail picks up where the Big Ditch Trail passes under the Highway 90 bridge. The first half of this trail is a nice section with a few short climbing and descending sections. The middle portion of the trail will traverse the creek a couple of times and will be accented by more technical sections of slickrock-like terrain.

The last portion of the trail will open up and run parallel to an open area (to the west) owned by the city where ATV enthusiasts frequently ride on the trails. Finally, the trail ends near the golf course and baseball fields.

The main portion of this trail connects into a short loop that ascends a ridgeline toward Mountainview Road, but currently (early 2018), this section of trail is in disrepair, although still passable.

You may encounter alpine goats along the trail. Despite their impressive horns, they are very friendly!

Still a few muddy spots from the snow last weekend, but should be good after a few more days of sun! 2.1mi
