Description

This trail begins with an easy climb through a short stretch of woods before crossing a meadow and dirt road. After crossing the dirt road, the trail makes a small descent to a bridge just over a creek. Past this point, the entire trail is a steep and straightforward climb to meet up with the Appalachian Trail and the viewpoints on Lion's Head. Once at the end of the trail, you can take the Lion's Head Bypass Trail (traveling jointly with the AT) south back to the junction with this trail to return to your car.
