Description

This trail begins at the intersection of Telegraph Trail just south of FS230 and can be accessed either by Telegraph Trail or off Pickett Loop Trail via Pickett Connector. Look for the yellow blazes for this route and begin the gradual ascent up the ridge.

This trail is unique in that it follows roughly the path Ulysses S. Grant and his troops took on their way to Fort Donelson. After about a mile and a half, you'll find yourself on the ridge. Here, the path finally levels out near the intersection of Piney Trail. At this junction, take a hard left to continue on the trail as it follows the ridge. The trail ends at the junction of Peytona Trail.
