The Pink Trail does not get as much use as the Yellow Trail or Blue Trail at Turkey Mountain but it is a nice alternative to those trails on the busier days. Access is from the upper (gravel) parking area. This trail does not have the river views that the Yellow Trail has, rather it is more a nice walk through the woods that is a little more challenging than the other trails while offering a little more quiet and solitude. The Pink Trail is not marked/blazed as nicely as the Yellow Trail or Blue Trail, but it's manageable (and it's improving). Keep your eyes open for the big bright pink blazes and you'll be fine. Be alert for some minor re-routes of the trail in its northern portions... again, just watch for the blazes. Mountain bikers like this trail too, but a little common sense and courtesy go a long way. At nearly 6 miles, this is one of the longer trails at Turkey Mountain but there are numerous cutoffs and connections with other trails that you can use to lengthen or shorten a hike of the Pink Trail's winding serpentine loop (a favorite of mine is to begin the Pink Trail going counter-clockwise, then use the Spider Connector to jump across to the upper branch of the Yellow Trail to return to the upper parking lot). As the seasons change, enjoy the openness of the trail during leaf-off in the Fall and Winter, and then during the wetter times don't be surprised to find a wet creek crossing after a heavy rain.
