Description

One of the great parks in Richmond, the north part of the park is more mountainous with more rolling trails that head both downhill and uphill. The whole trail will loop around and you can even follow it out to 696 and back up if you want to hike on the highway, but the trail does end on the southwest corner at 696.

If you are more traditional and would like more directions when you enter the park, hike to the last parking lot. Follow the trail to the left of the playground, there are signs. The "main" entrance is located next to the volleyball courts.

Expect a few bridge crossings and water crossings. After fall, the trail accumulates plenty of leaves which causes potential traction issues on the ascents.
