For this trail, you'll be starting at the covered bridge parking area and taking Hog Hollow Trail up to the fire tower. The hike starts out with a very gradual climb, which I find perfect for a warm up for what's to come. About 0.75 miles in, you'll have a fairly steep climb for about 0.25 miles. This is the longest "tough" climb of the trail. The second mile is mostly rolling.
This may also be done in reverse, and is generally easier in this direction as the overall elevation gain is net negative.
