Family Friendly Kids will enjoy the suspension bridge and view of train trestle/tracks.

Description

The access for this trail is on an unnamed road off of W Grover Street, just north of where it crosses the First Broad River. Follow signs for Twin Trestle Trailhead (940 W. Grover St., Shelby, NC 28150).

This trail features wonderful views of the train trestle and tracks which presents a great opportunity to stop and watch the trains go by. There is also an amazing 120 foot-long suspension bridge over the First Broad River. There are many other bridges along this trail as well. The trail is a level gravel path with little elevation gain and is an easy trail for everyone, so bring the kids and family along! Some spots south of Highway 74 are slightly rougher and needing gravel.
