“An old forest road closed to vehicles that is useful for making loops.
”
This is an old forest road closed to vehicles that traces the northern and eastern edges of Little Lake Creek Wilderness. It is wide, flat, and cleared on either edge; this means it is very easy going, but will also offer less shade than the system of singletrack trails in the region.
The eastern end of the path is on FM-149 a few yards north of the Lone Star Hiking Trail parking area #4. You'll come to a five-way intersection with the Little Lake Creek Loop Trail and Pole Creek Trail before the path turns north. It crosses the LSHT - Section 1 (Wilderness) where the LSHT enters Little Lake Creek Wilderness. Further north the path crosses the North Wilderness Trail before terminating at Bethel Road a mile north of the Lone Star Hiking Trail parking area #2.
