This is a great option for hikers who enjoy a scenic trail with lots of ecological variety. The trail is well-marked so you can easily find your way. The most difficult section of trail is located between between Abraão and Praia Grande das Palmas. From Praia das Palmas, the trail has a short uphill and then you'll enjoy a downhill to Mangue Beach.

For those who are not in shape or want to get to Praia de Lopes Mendes without much effort, water taxis operate between Praia do Pouso and from there, it is a short hike to Lopes Mendes by the T11 (Pouso - Lopes Mendes). Should you wish to return on foot, it is advisable to carry a flashlight.

With access to beaches, gazebos, mangroves, natural swimming pool, wild animals, inns, campsites, bars, restaurants, church and taxi boat service, this short trail is sure to have something for everyone.
