This is a popular trail for mountain bikers, be alert as you hike.
Description
This is a convenient trail for residents of Ruidoso. The trailhead shares the parking area for the Fitness Trail #90 adjacent to the Smokey Bear Ranger Station. A little less than a mile along the trail, there will be a 'Y' with Upper Raven #121A. Take the option to the 'right' to stay on this trail.
Next the trail meets the other end of Upper Raven #121A before it continues down to Cedar Creek Drive across from the Sam Tobias Memorial Group Campground.
The trail is mostly packed dirt with frequent rocky sections.The trail weaves uphill though an open pine and juniper forest that is frequented by spot mule and elk. Several spots give nice views of Ruidoso.
