Off of Ridge Road, head down into the parking lot by the baseball stadium. Look out to your left for a signed trail. Head down hill where you soon pass the Woodland Slope Trail. After a short while, the Woodland Slope Trail rejoins the trail from the right and you cross a bridge.

Meander along the Meeting-of-the-Waters Creek until you rock hop across. Continue along until you cross under some water pipes. Watch left for another rock hop crossing indicated by some aluminum hiking badges on the trees. Pass through the lowlands until you pop up on Fern Lane.
