Heron Pond (XC) Trail

From the Hammond Trailhead parking lot, go across Scott Road. Follow the Old Mail Road to the west end of the field and take a sharp left. The Heron Pond Trail starts here and heads into the forest. Eventually, it crosses over Allen Brook on a small footbridge before passing Pond Loop Trail on right. Shortly after, the trail comes to a small "unmarked" sidepath (right) to Heron Pond, at the northeast corner of the pond. The trail passes its junction with Middle (XC) Trail (on the right). The Heron Pond Trail ends at the junction with the Lake Access (XC) Trail. For more information, see chocorualakeconservancy.org
