Closed in winter (December 1 to April 1) for mule deer protection.

Description

Lower Sage climbs gently with flat sections up to a large rock which makes a great lookout over the town of Wenatchee. The trail is fairly well traveled by hikers, mountain bikers, and runners. Some portions are deeply rutted and narrow, but still easy to navigate and work around. The trail leads to several more intersections that are not signed, but you can see far enough to pick the trail you need. Please respect trail restoration areas and stay off of closed unsanctioned trails.

Flora & Fauna

Look out for rattlesnakes in the summer months; they aren't terribly plentiful but you may still come upon them. Mule deer can also be found here, especially in the cooler months.
