Description

This connects the Santa Ana River Trail to the Redlands portion of the Orange Blossom Trail. It follows the line of the Kite Shaped Track which served early 20th century California.

The entire dirt trail parallels Opal Street through Mentone. The northern section is smooth, while the southern section, as you near the Mentone library, becomes very rutted and hard to find a good line through. There is a very busy street crossing on Highway 38. The final section between Highway 38 and Colton Avenue is infested with goathead thorns, so watch out for Fido's paws.
